IN spanish, the word 'sana' means 'heal'

A Legacy of Healing: Inspired by My Mother's Journey

My mom was a beacon of joy, humor, and kindness, touching countless lives with her amazing spirit. In December 2023, she ascended from this earth due to complications related to pancreatic cancer. 

Reflecting on her journey, I now know her inflammatory and autoimmune challenges began early in her adult life and I understand the impact they had on her health and that of her children.

 If I can improve health outcomes for other women and children by helping them make proactive changes today, it would be a profound honor to her legacy. 

Why 'Sana Sana?'

The name Sana Sana is inspired by a comforting Spanish rhyme my mom often recited when I was hurt or unwell:

'Sana, sana, colita de rana.
Si no sanas hoy, sanaras mañana.'

This translates to: 'Heal, heal, little frog's tail. If you don't heal today, you'll heal tomorrow.'

In essence, it means: 'Have faith! You CAN and you WILL feel better.'

Healing is a journey. Whether physical or emotional, it requires time and dedication. Each day you devote to healing brings you closer to wellness. So, keep the faith, and keep moving forward!
